Pour Over Wills
Pour Over Wills
Pour over wills are drafted with trusts. They are used to name beneficiaries for personal property (such as family heirlooms, jewelry, furniture, cars, etc.) and then transfer the remaining property to a trust. Pour over wills are generally drafted with living trusts in order to avoid probate, minimize the potential for guardianship, keep information private, minimize estate taxes, and numerous other issues.
